Mission
Ready Schools Miami is a multi-partner, multi-year effort to improve the quality of early childhood education and services. The goal of Ready Schools Miami is to create a system that promotes early learning and child well-being from birth through elementary school.

Strategies
The partners of Ready Schools Miami work to achieve the overall mission through the following key strategies to improve educational quality:
Developing Master Teachers: At the heart of the effort is the development of teachers who are masters at their craft and leaders in their field. We offer teachers high-quality, job-embedded professional development within early learning centers and elementary schools that result in significant learning gains.
Maximizing Administrative Leadership: Quality improvement efforts depend on the effective leadership of administrators toward improving outcomes. In the early learning world, Ready Schools Miami is working with center directors to ensure the successful implementation of high-quality curriculum and instruction. At the elementary level, the focus is on providing principals with proven strategies for improving student achievement.
Engaging Parents and Community: Effective schools work with parents as equal partners in motivating and educating children. To this end, Ready Schools Miami is engaging Community Involvement Specialists to develop parents into advocates who work with teachers to support the success of all children.
Ensuring Effective Transitions: Children’s early success in school requires an effective transition from early learning centers to elementary schools. Ready Schools Miami aligns curriculum, instruction, and assessment and develops strategies to create a successful pathway between centers to schools.
Promoting Health & Child Well-Being: Access to quality medical care is an essential component of healthy child development. The partners of Ready Schools Miami aim to install HealthConnect teams in all schools.
